Sherry Forsgren has been in the accounting field over 36 years. She retired as the accountant for the Monterey Peninsula Water Management District in Monterey, California after 16 years. Before that, she worked for a CPA firm and had her own bookkeeping and income tax practice from 1980 until 2005. Sherry’s son and his family had moved to Columbia in August of 2001 and after making numerous trips from California to here to see her son and grandchildren, her husband asked whether she was ready to move here and she didn’t hesitate to say YES!!! They have been here since January 2005 and love being here and being close to their family. Sherry volunteers at Lake Carolina Elementary two days a week and she is the secretary/popcorn chairman for my grandson’s cub scout pack.
