5th Sunday after Pentecost

On this 5th Sunday after Pentecost, we hear 2 inspiring stories of how Jesus brought hope – to a family with a sick child and a woman who had been struggling for many years with a debilitating disease.  Whatever our own struggles, we know that the power of God’s love in Jesus still brings hope in every circumstance. This Sunday, we celebrate the theme “Come to the Table,” kicking off 3 nights of SPARK VBS next Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, from 6:00-7:45pm.   Between worship services Sunday, we invite everyone to drop in the fellowship hall anytime between 9:25-10:20 for our special “Come to the Table” time with snacks & fellowship – and help assemble blessing bags to be shared with those who are in crisis.  We continue our summer Prayer Focus, taking time to be still and know that God is God!  Everyone is invited to a 5-minute pre-worship prayer time, at 8:10 & 10:25.  In quiet moments, find time to be refreshed with a sense of God’s peace – and if something is heavy on your heart, a pastor can come to you in the pew for a word of prayer.  For worship, we’ve relaxed many of the COVID protocols.  At 8:15, worship is in the sanctuary.  At 10:30, worship how you choose – in the sanctuary, from the parking lot, on the lawn, or online.  Spread the word and invite others to worship with us (in-person or online)!
