This weekend, we gather along with Christians throughout the world to celebrate the 2nd Sunday of Christmas (Day #9 of the joyous ongoing 12-day season of Christmas). Unlike much of society, which has “packed away” Christmas, the sanctuary remains decorated to celebrate the birth of Christ – and our hearts continue to celebrate the joy of this wonderful season! On Christmas Eve, our worship focused on Luke’s account of Jesus’ birth – with the story of Bethlehem, the manger, Mary & Joseph, angels & shepherds. This coming Sunday, we focus on John’s soaring theological language of Jesus being the Logos (Word) made flesh, come to dwell among us with light & life, revealing the fullness of God’s grace and truth for all people. Be sure to mark your calendar for our moving Epiphany Eve worship next Wednesday (Day #12 of the Christmas Season) – see below. At that service, we focus on the appearance of the star, and the coming of the Magi to offer their gifts to Jesus, the newborn King. What a wonderful way to begin the new calendar year of 2022 as God’s people, still celebrating Christmas! #SundayWorship
