Here in November, our hearts turn to the season of Thanksgiving. In spite of the world’s challenges, we do have much to be thankful for! Above all… our amazing God of love who, through our journey with Jesus, takes every next step to grow hope in our hearts and give us a peace the world cannot provide. This Sunday is a VERY important day, as we all bring to the altar our next-step Intents of Generosity & Discipleship and place them in a symbolic path of sand at Jesus’ feet. We give thanks for God who gives hope to us in powerful ways; and we bring our Intents to God, so that in turn, our generosity may grow hope in the lives of others. Please take time to read the Generosity Message in your e-news. Everyone should have received your “Next Step” intent card and Prayer Envelope – but there are extras at church and links to e-copies. Don’t forget the $3000 Challenge Match we have, not for $ amounts, but if we reach this year’s goal of 90 sealed intents made by individuals and families. May we all respond as a way to be intentional about next steps in our Journey with Jesus – in our giving, worship, devotion, study, or service. Equally important this Sunday, is our Annual Meeting. We’ll start promptly at 9:10 after an abbreviated early service, as we need time for several important votes: to elect 6 of 7 council nominees, approve constitution updates, Ministry Spending Plan, Synod Assembly & Nominating Committee. A quorum is required, so please make every effort to attend. A GoogleMeet link is below, if you cannot be there in person. There are also links for council bios, constitution details, and spending plan summary. Finally, on Sunday, we culminate 2 weeks of Veterans ceremonies, by recognizing our veterans and active military – and we share this year’s Quilt of Valor with Dan Shannon. After 10:30 service, everyone is invited to stop at the fellowship hall & help pack a few of our 140 food bags for Thanksgiving. God is doing so many powerful things here at Living Springs. Our recent moving text videos have truly been a reminder of that (links below)! We look forward to seeing everyone this Sunday for the Annual Meeting, our “Journey with Jesus” next-step intents, Veterans recognition – and the joy of worshipping our amazing Lord! Christ’s peace! #SundayWorship
