5th Sunday in Lent 4/6/55

Here, in the 5th Week of Lent, we find our hearts being drawn closer & closer to the cross of Jesus – and knowing the depth of his love & forgiveness for every one of us. It’s so wonderful to see the sanctuary filling up again, especially at our 10:30 service! On this final Sunday before Holy Week, we continue focus on our expanding Lenten HOPE cross – and there is a beautiful musical trio at both 8:15 and 10:30. We again have special moments of prayer with our HOPE candles for the people of Ukraine, our refugee family, our disciple gatherings, and justice ministry. And … you can still worship outside at 10:30, as well thru our livestream! Last Wednesday, we were moved by the reflection from Joanna and Joseph of Arimathea, who provided for Jesus’ burial. This Wednesday, our final drama will be with Simon of Cyrene & one of the criminals crucified with Jesus. If you’ve missed any of the dramas, you can still go to our LS Youtube channel. We again offer Wednesday prayer at noon (with option for Holy Communion). On Sunday, we hear the beautiful story of how Mary of Bethany anointed Jesus with costly perfume and wiped his feet with her hair – showing so much gratitude for how Jesus had restored her brother, Lazarus, to life! Our own hearts melt in gratitude for the great love Jesus has for us; and so we gather this Sunday to offer our own thanks & praise for our Lord of love, to whom we owe everything – as we continue this journey that stretches our hearts with the love of Jesus & his Cross! #SundayWorship
