Christmas Eve Candlelight Worship 2023

“For unto us a Son is Born! Unto us a Child is Given! And his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God … Prince of Peace!” As we come to this holy Christmas weekend, the words of the ancient prophet Isaiah fill our hearts – and the joyful song of Bethlehem angels echo in our ears, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth, peace, goodwill to all!” Saturday, Christmas Eve, we gather with Christians across the world to celebrate God’s great gift of love, the birth of Christ our Lord. Traditional candlelight communion will be held at 7:30, with special music at 7:15. We have beautiful pieces by our guest cellist, organist, Handbells, guitar solo, choir quartet, and soloists. The service will also be livestreamed on YouTube & Facebook for those who may be traveling, or need to stay in because of the cold. Spread the word to out-of-town family, neighbors, and friends! This year, Christmas Day falls on Sunday – we have one Worship Service at 10:30 – as we celebrate with carols, scriptures, and a very meaningful service adapted for Christmas morning. Load up your car and come-as-you-are. Even PJ’s are welcome! The service will also be livestreamed, so that you can incorporate worship as part of your Christmas morning, wherever you are. Just as shepherds came to honor the newborn king and Mary pondered the gift of God’s love in her heart, so we too gather to worship Christmas Eve & Day – to sense the fullness of God’s grace & light given to each of us, our families, and the world. We look forward to being together for these amazing times of worship – to share the joy & peace of Christmas!
