Fifteenth Sunday After Pentecost

This weekend, we’re excited to celebrate our annual Living Springs Child Development Center Sunday. We will hear powerful hope moments, sign thank-you notes for our frontline staff, and offer prayers of blessing for our students & families who are part of this important ministry, which continues to impact so many lives in its 21st year! Pastor Carl has one of his inspiring messages – and Seminarian Adriana will offer another moving solo at 10:30. We continue our GIFT Worship Experiences for children, with their cross processional, joyful noise instruments, Scripture-sermon learning activities, and post-worship family blessing at the font. Don’t forget our Monday Devotional Bible Worship at noon – and the 2nd session of our new Adult Confirmation Series this Tuesday at 10am. Also, the first of our Justice Ministry house gatherings will be Sunday afternoon! Last Sunday, there were so many hearts & lives touched by the 150+ meals you cooked, packed & delivered in the community as part of our “God’s Work, Our Hands” projects. This Sunday, we hear Jesus’ words about the value & impact of being faithful in even the smallest things. The prophet Amos reminds us that God is not pleased by a society that pursues wealth while trampling the poor & ignoring the needy – and Jesus’ reminds us that we cannot find meaning & peace in life by trying to serve 2 masters, wealth and the Lord. Come gather together this Sunday to have our hearts moved by the Holy Spirit, to be fed by the Lord’s meal of grace, and to have our lives renewed in service for our One Master, the God of love for all people! #SundayWorship
