Fourth Sunday In Advent

This Sunday, as we light the 4th candle on the Advent wreath, we ponder Mary’s visit with her relative Elizabeth after receiving the news form the angel Gabriel that she will carry God’s child. We join our voices with Mary’s voice in proclaiming, “My soul magnifies the Lord, my Spirit rejoices in God my Savior!” Pastor Carl has a very special sermon-experience planned to help us reflect on this important Advent story – and at 10:30, we also have a very inspiring solo by one of our LS youth! We look forward to being together this weekend for our Outdoor Nativity on Saturday & Sunday nights at 7pm (*with our FM transmitter, you may also listen & watch the Nativity from your vehicle this year!). An email will be sent out should one of the nights need to be canceled because of rain. On Sunday morning, we worship at 8:15 and 10:30 (livestreamed and parking lot FM available at 10:30). The special LS ornaments ordered by our Youth have arrived and can be picked up on Sunday – and don’t forget the special ways to share God’s hope with our Advent food boxes, World Hunger Good Gifts, and the 6-day drive for Kentucky hurricane victims (see below). Thanks to all who responded so amazingly with your Dove Tree Gifts for children/youth in need! Daily Advent e-devotions continue to arrive as beacons of hope in our email, along with at-home Advent resources for families, youth, children. What a truly joyful time of year this is, as our hearts are prepared faithfully for the coming of our Lord!
