The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all! Every Sunday, we share those words to remind each of us that we do have the grace, love, and fellowship of our God to sustain us throughout life’s journey, with all its trials & joys, challenges, ups & down. Here, on June 12, we join Christians across the world in celebrating the great mystery of God the Holy Trinity, one-in-three and three-in-one. We rejoice to experience daily comfort & strength in the presence of this amazing triune God who created such a beautiful world for us, who came to live among us as Jesus, and who fills us with power as the Holy Spirit! For Holy Trinity Sunday, we have a joyful video from our children & youth who participated in SPARK kickoff– plus a special Trinity anthem from our choir and uplifting Trinity Sunday sermon from Pastor Carl. It is also our the first of our 3 monthly Summer Hope Sundays (see below). We give thanks for all who participated in last week’s Pentecost Community Festival and Summer Kickoff SPARK. There was so much joy shared with neighbors and children – truly, a sign of hope needed in our hurting world. This Trinity Sunday, we hear words from the apostle Paul, reminding us that endurance produces character and character produces hope, and hope does not disappoint us, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit that has been given to us!
