Seventh Sunday of Easter – 5/16/2021

On this 7th Sunday of Easter, we ponder some hope-filled events surrounding Jesus’ ascension (which we celebrated this past Thursday, 40 days following Jesus’ Resurrection).  We begin to prepare our hearts for the great celebration of the Holy Spirit on Pentecost, only 1 week away.  At 10:30 Sunday, we celebrate the Baptism of little Maggie Pittman, our newest sister in Christ – what a joyful Hope Moment this will be for God’s people in worship!  The words of the Baptismal liturgy speak to each of us: “Child of God, you have been sealed by the Holy Spirit & marked with the cross of Christ forever…Let your light so shine before others that they may see your good works & give glory to God in heaven!”   Oh yes, we do have a wonderful story to tell – God is love!
