Christ is Risen! Christ is Risen indeed, Alleluia! As we continue to celebrate Easter in this 50-day season, we marvel at how the Risen Jesus appeared to many people after his Resurrection, to grow hope in their lives. I pray you have felt the power & love of the living Lord in your heart this week, to continue to make you a vessel of God’s growing hope! For this 3rd Sunday of Easter, we have a wonderful celebration, as we lift up the ongoing “Holy Spaces” emphasis for Camp Kinard, our local Lutheran retreat center. We’re so blessed to welcome Deacon Dallas Shealy (Director of SC Lutheran Retreat Centers) for our special congregation gathering at 9:20 in the Fellowship Hall – and also to share a wonderful children’s message at 10:30 worship. We ask you to stay after 8:15 service or please come early for the 2nd service, as we all gather to hear Dallas share exciting news about the life-impacting ministries at Camp Kinard and plans for a new lakeside chapel, fully accessible pool, and new entranceway. If you’ve missed any of our earlier temple talks or videos about “Holy Spaces”, you can find links in the article below. As part of Sunday’s celebration, we’ll have special slips you can use for a 3-year plan or 1-time gifts (see all the details below). In addition, we present Dallas with a kickoff gift of $4000 from Living Springs. On Sunday, we’ll have Backpack Food tables set up so everyone can help back a bag before/after worship! Thanks to everyone who has been sending in photos of your sprouting Easter Pollinator Seeds as a symbol of God’s growing hope; and thanks to all who showed up last Monday for Beer n Hymns – what a joyful night! This Sunday, we hear how the risen Jesus appeared to 2 weary, confused travelers out on the Emmaus road on Easter afternoon, to bring them hope. As we travel through our own roads of life, we rejoice that Jesus continues to show up in countless ways to fill us with hope. Come gather this Sunday as we celebrate that life-giving hope and continue to worship with joy in the Easter Season! Christ’s peace!
