We are all excited about this coming Sunday, with our big Rally Day Faith Formation Kickoff for the whole congregation. So that we can all worship together, we have one Unity Worship Service at 10:30 with our “Journey with Jesus” theme, concluding with our annual congregation photo & big congregation lunch in the fellowship hall. You are invited to bring side dishes & food to share –but we won’t need desserts, because FMC is providing an ice cream sundae bar for everyone. During worship, our youth will share powerful moments from their summer experiences, with adults also sharing about their faith formation. Both pastors will lead a wonderful interactive sermon, focusing on our “Journey with Jesus.” There will be a special prayer-Holy Communion experience, as we all bring up prayer footprints to the cross & receive a special blessing from the pastors – and there will be great joy as we celebrate with the baptism of little Kayla Wallace! Throughout the morning, we have special “Journey with Jesus” interactive bingo sheets, that will allow us to get to know each other even better. At the end of worship, we’ll take our cong. photo and then form our Human Chain to unload all the items from our Stuff-a-Bus! It’s truly a heart-warming & joyful experience you don’t want to miss. Our LS buses will be at Kroger on Two Notch and Kroger on Killian Saturday from 9:00-1:00 to collect items for our children’s Backpack food ministry. Spread the word to neighbors & friends. We can use help passing out flyers at the buses – come out for ½ hour or hour or whatever, to help anytime between 9 & 1. Due to severe weather warnings, last week’s Rush Hour ministry was re-scheduled to this upcoming Tuesday at 5:15 – and don’t forget our Football Devotional Ministry is underway.
