God led one of our recent high school graduates to write a wonderful devotional for girls for her senior honors project. The Lutheran Girl/La Chica Luterana is a twelve month devotional geared to pre-teen girls ages 8-11 and is written in two languages, English and Spanish. She wrote the devotional to be studied in a group but it can be read individually. The Lutheran Girl, can be used as the basis of a Sunday school class or as a part of the activities of a study group. Looking at the devotional, you can see how the spirit led her journey to write such a wonderful educational piece. Some of the sections cover “Who is God?”, covering God in three persons; “Who are Lutherans?”; “God and Love”, when you have that special fuzzy feeling about someone special; and “God and Tough Times”. The student earned a 20 out of 20 for this effort! The LSLC office will be preparing a copy to be put in the LSLC library for all to enjoy. We know there will be many Disciple Dots that will be generated from the use of this devotional.
