25th Sunday after Pentecost

Here in November, our hearts turn to the season of Thanksgiving. In spite of every road-bump in life, we do have much to be thankful for. This Sunday is a VERY important day, as we all bring our Giving Intents and place them on the symbolic Hope Beacon lighthouse during worship at both 8:15 and 10:30. We give thanks for God who gives hope to us in powerful ways; and we bring our giving Intents to God, so that in turn, our offerings of love might give hope to others – as we give thanks to God for all the blessings God has given us in life. Please take time to read Pastor Eric’s special Generosity letter that was e-mailed Friday morning! On Sunday, we hear Jesus’ message of hope, inviting his followers not to focus on things of this world, which are here & gone. Hebrews 10 encourages us: “let us hold fast to the confession of our hope without wavering, for God who has promised IS faithful!” – along with the beautiful words of Psalm 16: “My heart, therefore, is glad, and my spirit rejoices; my body also shall rest in Hope!” #SundayWorship
